Infinite Undiscovery Walkthrough

To reach Fayel, you're going to need to head far to the south of Burgusstadt via the Luce Plains. Keep on searching around, fighting basic enemies and gathering some experience and gold. You'll eventually find a pass that will lead through the mountainous terrain surrounding Luce Plains. This will bring you directly to a new area to explore, which is the primary conduit between Fayel and anyone wanting to get there. Indeed, welcome to Oradian Dunes.

The Oradian Dunes are crawling with unfamiliar, brand new, and much more powerful enemies than you've so far encountered. So, it's a good thing you stocked your party up with better gear (weapons and armor) back in the previous town, so you can easily survive, collecting more experience and money as you go. You'll run into five primary enemies during your trip through the Dunes -- Impfish, Swamp Serpents, Garudas, Amigos, and perhaps the most difficult enemy you've yet faces, the Narbear. These latter enemies will need to be killed with concentrated force, for they have 10,000 HP a piece and pack quite the wallop. Don't get in over your heads with these guys!

Otherwise, you'll want to generally head in a western direction from the outset until you can head south. From there, you'll want to head south indefinitely until a cutscene ensues. You won't yet get to your destination of Fayel after this cutscene, but you will be able to continue southward to a small, occupied village called Sapran. Here, you'll be able to do battle and liberate another area from its binding chain.

As soon as you enter the village, you'll find a hostile scene. New enemies (three types) are what you'll encounter here. Order Privates and Pebbleshell Crabs shouldn't give you much trouble, but Hill Gigas are huge, and can be daunting to kill. Foes will respawn over and over again at set intervals, so this is actually a really easy place to get lots of experience. Only when all of the orange-colored crystals in the area are slain will the enemies stop respawning, so even if you leave one crystal, the foes will keep coming. We racked up several levels for all of our characters spread over three parties in this area. See if you can't replicate those kinds of results.

Speaking of those orange crystals, all of them must be destroyed to move on. However, destroying all clearly-visible ones alone won't cut it (pardon the pun). Instead, you're going to have to be prepared to use Capell's flute to reveal the locations of several hidden crystals (a couple of caves will be revealed in certain locations, as well as a couple of hidden crystals within houses that are otherwise invisible). As for the aerial-bound crystals, use Aya's bow (this is why she had to be included in the party). If she's dead, you're crap out of luck!

With the last of the crystals destroyed in the area, you'll ultimately be thrust into a boss battle with a character named Semberas. As with the last battle, this battle is somewhat of a joke. Why? Because you don't even have to participate in it whatsoever to win. Sigmund is in the battle, and though you can't control him, he'll deal massive damage to the foe repeatedly while never dying (it's impossible). Why the game designers thought this was a good idea is beyond me, but nonetheless, it's the way it is. So while the Order Privates that swarm you in the beginning of the battle should be dealt with in short order, Semberas will likely take a brunt of his damage from Sigmund. You can participate as much or as little as you want in the battle, but if you're getting battered and are near death, back off and let Sigmund take care of business.
