Mtx Mototrax Soundtrack

MTX: Mototrax provides a comprehensive look at the genre and keeps the action fast and fun. The supercross races have plenty of tight turns to keep things interesting, the motocross tracks have the big big jumps that drive the fans wild, and the freestyle levels provide plenty of opportunities to try out a few of the 100+ tricks in the game.
A couple of the major additions are the clutch that provides plenty of pop and the online racing capability. An even less tangible positive aspect of MTX: Mototrax is the visceral sense of speed that makes the racing that much more worthwhile. With plenty of old and new school music tracks to back it up, MTX: Mototrax is a solid title that deserves to spin for hours in your Xbox.
With bikes that have an effective clutch and the ability to preload and simple controls for both, mastering the basic skills of using the bike takes just a few minutes. Learning to mix up these skills and adjust them for the different races is another story entirely and that's where the skill and the addiction to racing comes right in. It's all about getting the physics of flight down pat and learning the courses so that the hills can be used as launching pads rather than crash pads. 100
Preloading in MTX: Mototrax is using the suspension of the bike to get a better pop off the tops of ramps and hills. By leaning forward on the bike, the suspension gets compressed and pulling back gives more boost to get more height. With a preload meter on the screen you can see just how much extra pop you have in the suspension. While it's easy to do full preloads before every jump, getting a slight preload or just compressing half of the suspension is much more useful when timing hills.
Almost as useful, but a lot more fun, is the clutch. By gunning the engine and then letting go of the clutch, the bike will shoot forward. Speeding off from a standstill is useful for the beginning of a race, but it's the turns where the clutch truly shines. By disengaging the clutch on a turn, the engine keeps going and when you release it at the end of a turn, the gears connect and the bike shoots out into the straightaway.
With the clutch as a powerful tool, MTX: Mototrax provides more options for turns. Normally, riding the berm, the angled edge of a banked turn, provides the fastest route by using the berm to run the bike and prevent any loss of speed from skidding in the dirt. With the clutch there's the option to use the berm halfway or avoid it completely. This adds to the excitement of the turns by giving racers an option if the racer ahead of them is already riding the berm and can't be passed. It's possible for several racers to take the turn at the same time with different methods and makes the threat of a turn becoming a bottleneck a lot less likely.
Beyond the technical aspects of the racing, the feel of MTX: Mototrax helps to deliver the sense of speed. The riders look like they have weight to them and the jumps don't feel like long jumps across the moon with the floaty feel in other racing games. When taking turns and sliding the back tires out to get through faster, it really does feel like dirt is getting kicked up with all the spinning tires.
To get the most personal feeling of all, there's a first-person mode that includes the sight of the handlebars. This avoids the feeling of hovering along the track by showing some of the bike and it also gives a visual cue to show how much the bike is being turned. The most intense experience for the first-person view is doing a backflip and seeing the whole world spin around. In races, the backflip can be used to do a quick look behind you, but for the most part it's a way to add some style to the run and keep the jumps entertaining.

I didn't know what to expect from this game in full, compared to MX Unleashed. I road bikes since I could walk almost, 8 or 7 years of age and raced a lot too. So unlike the GameSpot people I know a tad more about this stuff lol. After playing Unleashed for a few weeks and 'its a great game' and getting just used to it innovated and good controls. Picking up MTX at first seemed odd. It was tight and a tad less movable. But then, getting into career mode right away. The game started to grow on me. One thing was they have a pro or two in the first 125 races or 250 west, and then a few more in 250 east, then all in the final 250 masters class. And in these classes the pro is the guy to beat. The other made up sorta like privateer riders. Usually don't win, if ever. So its like real life in a sense that you have to run a series and battle the top 1 or 2 guys. Unlike unleashed were 500 passes are made in two straits. And Reed does not dominate. In fact in Unleashed someone else wins every other race in Unleashed. Making placing 5, 3 and 1st to win a series easy. Not on MTX. even in the Masters class. Its like Reed will always be near the front in the Supercross events. With either Lusk, Pestrana, or Ferry pushing him. Bust most likely in the East and in the masters class. Like in real motocross Reeds the guy you have to beat in supercross. Lusk is tuff outside, and the outdoors is more of a battle with Lusk, yourself and Reed and Ferry. Charmical and Bubba aint around so it makes perfect sense. The others like Fronseca and many others, will chill at mid pack, and rarely 'if ever' win when put up against Reed. And those who know supercross. or motocross know this is how the sport is. Its dominated over the last few decades by one or two riders. And to be the best you have to beat those guys. Unlike UNLEASHED were all the guys are the same, MTX plays to this truth well. So racing in general, all of a sudden gets more interesting than in UNLEASHED. If you like the fact of tying to dust Reed and him being the man. The graphics in the game are good, in some ways better than Unleashed. Unleashed may have that better looking bike movement thing going, a tad. But when I race in Unleashed I have no clue who im passing 'was the reed or ferry' or who wrecked me. Here their seems to be more color. You know who is who on the track. And you know who's in front of you. Part of that is due to the fact they have very easy to read numbers, and they have different outfits. In Unleashed Reed and Ferry had the same outfit, and the three xxx guys had the same outfits and bikes. In this game with the great and awesome gear. You have to earn. The riders are themselves. And you know who just passsed you or who's in front of you. Or who you just passed. The little compounds like Travis House, look fantastic. I mean its his house 'even with the foam jump' those who know him know that jump. Well, its in the game at his house. Heck you can even try to jump his house 'which is tuff, because you just cant land 240ft+ jumps flat and not fall. Um like Unleashed. Or ride his track mess with his friends, race some of his friends, on some basic, or wild, tracks. all in his backyard. Or have some dude pay you if you can wheelie your bike around Travis's travel trailer a few times. Now Gamespot talked about how theirs just a button, and a back and forward thing for pre load. What they failed to tell you. Although the button is easier. It goes to 100% every time. So you cannot just sorta half due it for a short jump. And their is a tad more room that you can catch, and catch more air by using the back forward motion. Like almost a 110% thing?? So to win you cant just press it in. You got to learn to control it. Especially at places like Atlanta 'which has the split start line like Anaheim did 'do I go right or do I go left??? because you got to make it to that Whole shot line first and earn some extra cash you know 'which they have. And no you don't get them so easy as in Unleashed, and the other track yea 'like it is in real life, its in the game fokes' Daytona Supercross on the infield of the speedway. And like that supercross in real life. This one has the mix of sand and 3 different kinds of dirt. And it really plays well off the way the Daytona Supercross series stops have been different from the others. And it just looks good The tracks in Unleashed are a tad better. But that is really as far as it goes on that part. You have race introductions to the tracks on MTX, at a pumped up level of feel of ore race excitement. You feel the presentation of the event. Even thow you wont get into at first like I did. But soon I found myself putting in MTX on more the Unleashed. Now if MTX had the unleashed controls and some of the tracks combine with their own. Because some of the tracks on MTX are cool, like 2 that you heard about above The game would be amazing. A 10. Also you have to earn contracts. Hay why not get a contract with Yamaha, I haven't got that one yet. But um word of advice, go with team Orange, or Red world, um generic KTM and Honda, preferably KTM. And then maybe get a sponsor from like FMF, to boost up you bike even more. And don't go with KX, I made that mistake and once I was ridding for them, I couldn't do anything. Not to say their bikes are bad in real life. But in the game it said it was going to be better than the bike I was on, wrong!! But then again their trying to get me as a rider. As clothing line companies do also, or I should say sport moto X wear companies. They will come knocking for you to were their stuff, or helmet, or goggles etc etc. Still haven't had Bell send me a E MAIL YET. But their in their too. So you can get pretty personal, with your style. Um yea even you free ride style, you can have two different outfits. The one for free ride can be a tank top some baggy jeans or whatever. With a helmet. Pretty cool. So yea all bikes are not equal in this game. Unlike again Unleashed, And 4 strokes are completely different from 2's not just in sound. Their faster but heavier, and you can tell, and they cant stop as well either, and the 2 will fly off the clutch pop more so than the 4 big time. Although some course the 4 is better on. Again unlike Unleashed. Yea it may not handle like Unleashed's new type of handling. But it handels well. And the rest of the game is good enough at surpassing Unleashed in presentation it keeps you on it 'did I mention you can make your own tracks', and save them. And play online. And they have soem great video profiles you open up to after certain series of each rider, and some really cool vids in general of riders. Making me think 'even after seeing it live and on TV, The vids show some great stuff, man these kids make the local A riders look like nothing, these kids are good 'and they still cant beat bubba, how good is he???. First pick up after unleashed, you'll hate it, 7 hours later you love it.
