This was one of the most entertaining books and I absolutely loved it! The beginning had me fooled. I'm not a huge fan of the ultimate player who thinks marriage is worse than jail. The beginning was focused on Joe's playboy ways a bit too much, but once Luna asked for Joe's help, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Joe was gone for Luna. The story just got better and better from there.
Luna is being asked to take over guardianship of her 14 and 9 year old cousins that she didn't even know

This is a reprint of a 2003 book, and as far as I can tell hasn't been updated. Joe buys the kids a VCR and tapes. Very sweet romance between Luna and Joe with some intrigue and action and a little angst. Very sweet kids who've had a rough time that you will just fall in love with. There's a bunch of other peeps who I think have had stories or will. Jamie Creed is spooky.

What a wonderfully perfect read! I dug into this one at a time when everything around me was feeling very dark and heavy and this book absolutely gave to me exactly what I needed. From the moment this hero meets the heroine he knows he wants her, but doesn’t claim it’s love, and remains celibate until he finally has her 3 months later. He was possessive and jealous and above all protective of her and the children she has gained custody of.

Loved this book. It was exactly what I needed, light and adorable with a dash of emotional romance. I loved the relationship that Joe and Luna created with the children and the added mystery made this book addictive.
I loved that Luna wasn't the usual dainty female. She was unique and tough and didn't take shit from anybody. I had a distinct dislike for Joe throughout the beginning of the book, he was sexist and frustrating but as the story progressed and the children were introduced his ch

Say No to Joe? By Lori Foster
Actual Rating: 3 stars
The good:
- The hero, Joe, was seemingly pretty loyal to Luna, the heroine, once they got together
- The kids were cute, if a little cardboard-ish
- I enjoyed the brief glimpses of Alyx, Joe’s sister
The bad:
- I was confused whether or not Joe had been celibate after meeting Luna. He claimed he didn’t want any other women, but he’d clearly gone out on at least one date with Amelia and there were two ladies in his house when Luna showed up (which STI

I first fell in love with Joe Winston when he made his appearance in the Winston Bros. series. He came in as the mysterious, bad older cousin who was able to catch the eye of Luna, a woman who's a polar opposite of him.
Personally I could not have found a better woman to fit Joe's alpha male, dominating personality. She's a little spit-fire who doesn't take any of Joe's Me-Tarzaan-You-Jane tendencies. The two of them have a chemistry that's tangible and burns the pages up.

Not for me. Can not connect with any aspect of this book. Dragging. There is one part where i feel like reading parenting self help. The characters development also minimal. We know joe is perfect alpha male. Tough, loyal, sweet and good parent. Like he has no flaw.
The attraction between Joe and Luna is not explored or develop more. And the stalker part is cheesy.

Say No To Joe? (Visitation, North Carolina) by Lori Foster
Say No To Joe has plenty of laughs and an abundance of heart. What does it take to build a family? Lori Foster is good at giving questions to ponder in her entertaining reads. This was a very fun book. Joe is the typical alpha male, appealing to women, protective when necessary, and anti-commitment. But his tough guy image is a little tarnished at the beginning of the book as he is recovering from being pretty badly beaten. I can't decide if I really liked this or if I really really liked it!
Noah is a dominating alpha male but has seemingly been keeping this well hidden. Since he has split from his uptight fiance, he has decided that he has had enough of behaving as other people think he should. He was all set to marry someone he didn't even love because of it and is glad to have had his eyes opened before it was too late.
Grace is a good girl and always has been. She is incredibly caring and hard working, and is co

I didn't like how they continued to stay so focused on Grace's weight. If he was so ok with it, the wording chosen seemed less than positive at times. Fleshy, plump, etc got a little redundant and distracting. I enjoyed the fact he fell for a 'real' woman but it didn't have to be so focused on it, if it wasn't a deal for him. I can see Grace focusing on it, but for him to see it and acknowledge it over and over again seemed to take away from the romance of it. I liked Ben's character a lot and w..more

Cute. Grace and Noah are a great pair, but Ben really steals the show. I loved him the best. Yes, the content was steamy, but it was not overdone so that Grace and Noah did not have enough time to build a relationship. Grace started off pretty nice, but she did not make a lasting impression on me. Noah was the perfect man and was the right bit the jealous lover. Kara was kinda dumb and consistently pissed me off, despite the fact that she was a 'good person'.
Worth a read, though not memorable (e

I actually read the second book of this series first about the half brother and came back to this. The hero had a tough childhood growing up in foster homes and on the streets however his grandmother found him when he was 17. He has spent his years pleasing her and even getting engaged to a woman of her choosing. However, when he finds his fiancee in bed with someone he doesn't really care, because though he liked her, he never loved her and he calls it off. He is nice enough to not tell people..more

In a semi-successful attempt to push me into contemprary romance, my sister sent me this book. Her last choice had been an absolute disaster, but this one was better. Only a smidge, but better still.
3/5 stars I suppose for this book. Simple because I only rolled my eyes only a few times. I think I've come to realize that so many of the tropes in modern romance just seem so weird and out of place, whereas the same in HR are totally believable. Perhaps we're still holding onto a lost concept of a

Noah
Noah was strong, determined, mature, protective, handsome, loving and definitely a sex god who worshipped Gracie's body effectively making her open her eyes to her own beauty. I want me a Noah. *sigh*

I loved this book! Gracie was such a refreshing unique character to me and she made the whole story come alive. Noah was so set in his ways, and so sure of the road ahead of him that when Gracie finally stepped up and put herself in his path, it knocked him through a loop. Gracie was an overweight and insecure woman and doesn't realize her appeal, or even that she has any. She has this amazing personality and to watch her come alive through the eyes of the characters was a beautiful thing to wat..more

This book was fabulous I read it in 2 sittings because I just had to get some sleep.
Just finished up and have to say I can't wait to read some other Lori Foster books. Hopefully Ben's book will be next.
Noah is so head over heals for Grace I loved it. He is demanding and forceful in the bedroom and out. I am a softy for a alpha hero Possessive and jealous are my favorite.
I enjoyed the grandmother and the banter between her and her grandsons. The book is a quick read and skims over the boys pas

This is such a great story. It's steamy in a nice way - hot but not prone to some of the ridiculous neo-medical descriptions some erotica resort to. This also has a nice story, and most of the main characters are great also. The grandmother is a manipulative, stupid old witch, and the ex is a limp, wet kipper, and I do think a more satisfying ending would have been the two of them pushed down a well together, but I guess the actual ending is more like real life. The hero and heroine are fabulous..more
Terrible book. The heroine was so insecure about her weight and the hero kept telling her stop talking about your weight you are beautiful.
The grandmother character was really annoying she kept trying to control her grandsons' lives and never gave them any compliments, just criticism.
But the worst part was the hero's ex fiancé. He finds her in bed with another man and tells her he'll be a nice guy and let her get out of town before he tells their parents the engagement is off. He even tells her

“Ben narrowed his eyes. 'You love that restaurant.'
'So does Noah.'
He shook his head impatiently. 'No, I mean I thought you loved it too much to let it crumble.'
Agatha stepped out from behind the desk to pace. 'I don't think that will happen. Noah will return before it does. But. . .' She looked up and held Ben's gaze. 'It's worth the risk.'
Because she loved Noah. Oh, Ben doubted she'd ever admit it, she was such a crusty old witch, but it was there in her faded blue eyes, in the strain on her aristocratic face. Ben turned away from her to run a hand through his hair. Everything was suddenly more complicated.”
